Aragon was already inhabited in Prehistoric time, and all the different cultures left traces of their art: one can find megalithic monuments, rupestrian paintings, Iberian towns and Roman ruins. From the Middle Ages the Romanesque heritage is the most important, and there still remain many brilliant examples to be seen of this style of the 11th, 12th and 13th century, especially castles and churches. The Gothic art is dominant in cistercian monasteries. One can also find many examples from the Mudéjar style, style typical from the Arabs who used to live under the Christian rule.
You can practice winter sports, flying sports, water sports and mountain sports in this region of Spain, either full of action and adventure or quite and in full communion with nature. As one goes up to the peaks the sunny climate changes in to a more humid and cool climate, and the summer nights can be cool.
